Countryside Retreat

One of the most internationally-renowned and historically significant circuits in the world, Donington Park continues to host major national and international events and has benefitted from a multi-million pound programme of improvements from new operator MSV.n Race Track.

Set in more than 80 acres, we have around 500 animals of almost 100 species to see, including many endangered animals and also native species in the Zoo’s Nature Reserve.

The Great Central Railway is the UK’s only double track, main line heritage railway. It’s the only place in the world where full size steam engines can be seen passing each other – just as it was when steam ruled the rails.

Calke Abbey is a Grade I listed country house near Ticknall, Derbyshire, England, in the care of the charitable National Trust.

If you do not fancy exploring the hills, the lower part of the Park is easily accessible, with a tarmac carriage-way running through this area, that is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Our Visitor Centre is in the heart of the Park, alongside the carriage-way at the Deer Barns, where you will also find our Tearoom.
